Plug-and-Play Simplicity
EOE’s unified low voltage system, EOE Connect™ makes installation a snap – literally. Unlike traditional systems, with EOE Connect™, installers do not have to make-up device connections in the field. The devices on EOE Connect™ plug-in using a standard ethernet cable. Devices that appear to be ‘hard-wired’ hide the plug-and-play connection from view. This element of EOE Connect™, combined with its low voltage nature – which prevents fires and electrocution – empowers EOE with labor options which are far less expensive than traditional electricians. Additionally, cable and devices are installed more quickly than traditional high-voltage systems. EOE further optimizes installation time by pre-programming, organizing, pre-packaging, and pre-labels lights and devices prior to jobsite shipment. For these reasons, ‘plug-and-play’ is an inherent value of EOE Connect™.
Less Material, Less Cost
EOE Connect™ uses traditional ethernet cables as its means to distribute both low voltage electricity and data. Ethernet cable contains significantly less copper than traditional, high voltage electrical wiring. Ethernet cable also weighs less, is easier to manage, and is much safer to work with. For these reasons, the EOE Connect™ wire itself is less costly to procure and to install. Additionally, traditional high voltage systems require expensive circuit breaker panels throughout the building. These panels connect to larger main panels and gear, which then connects to the power company’s transformer. With EOE Connect™ many of the panels associated with lighting are eliminated, and others are reduced. This has a trickle effect which reduces the size of main panels, and ultimately the size of service (transformer) from the power company. This material savings, combined with the labor savings of using safer and easier-to-manage materials in a ‘plug-and-play’ manner results in less infrastructure cost. This is the key which allows EOE Connect™ to empower you with the system’s premium equipment without it being an overall premium when compared to traditional systems.

Savings Longterm
EOE Connect™ aligns the amount of electricity needed by devices with the amount being sent to them. This prevents energy-loss which occurs when high voltage electricity in traditional systems is converted to the low voltage electricity devices inherently use. Also, because devices with EOE Connect™ are programmed to operate more efficiently, they use less energy.
Limitless Control
All devices on EOE Connect™ are controlled by software. When it comes to lighting, this means every light in the building can be controlled individually. This is revolutionary, as traditional lighting systems (both high and low voltage) control lights in ‘zones’. When each light in the building can be programmed and controlled in any way by any switch, as well as respond to ambient conditions on its own, the limits of customization and automation disappear.

One of the most exciting elements of EOE Connect™ is each device sending and receiving data. This is revolutionary in that our clients not only collect limitless data about usage in their own systems, but they benefit from lighting usage data from other clients. EOE offers a discount on our worry free maintenance program, The EOE Promise™ to clients that share generic, non-personal, lighting-only usage data with EOE. This data fosters better programming suggestions for lighting systems customized by building type, zip code (weather), room type, light type, and other factors. Increased Safety
High voltage electricity is needed to start a fire or electrocute someone. Because EOE Connect™ does not contain high voltage electricity, it impossible for its devices or lighting components to start a fire or cause electrocution. This is not only safer for clients and their users, but may help clients save money on insurance. Additionally, this increased safety makes installing and servicing our systems less expensive, as workers do not need certain equipment, or high voltage licensing. More Back-Up Power
Because EOE Connect™ uses dramatically less energy per light / device, far more lights and devices can be powered by back up batteries or generators. With EOE Connect™, up to 700 low voltage LED lights can be powered with a back-up system sized for a single traditional high voltage wall outlet. This makes traditionally sized generators or UPS batteries capable of handling several times the traditional amount of lights and devices, or for those systems to be reduced in size several-fold. Making Off-Grid Practical
Off-grid energy sources such as solar and wind must be sized to meet the electrical demand of the building they serve. Traditional high voltage systems artificially inflate that demand because the lighting and devices use only a fraction of circuit capacity. EOE Connect™ aligns capacity with usage. This reduces the “demand” to what the building actually needs, and in turn reducing off-grid system size and therefore cost. With EOE Connect™, off grid is more practical.
